“Historically, we did not have to teach our students how to question the validity of information when we ensured the books in the library and in our classrooms were selected by educators. Today we do not have the control to vet everything our students digest.” – Alan November

According to a recent Stanford School of Education survey, nearly 70% of Middle School students could not distinguish between real and fake news.

What can we do? Begin by educating ourselves. In this presentation we offer tools and resources you can use when teaching your students to be critical thinkers in an omnipresent digital world.
